Press Release - Ready, Set, Growl Festival
Juilliard Park | Santa Rosa, CA | August 23rd, 2015 | 11-3P
The 2nd annual “Ready Set Growl” Beer Festival is underway! There are many events nowadays to choose from but this one is particularly special - let me explain the details.
Not only is this event in conjunction with the Santa Rosa Marathon, known for as the last qualifying race for the Boston Marathon, but they will truly bring out some outstanding and RARE beers. We love runners that drink and drinkers that run - and in no particular order! Did I mention there's a big discount if you sign up for both? Win-win situation.
As an example of rare beer, they convinced The Alchemist to bring some kegs of their nationally acclaimed Heady Topper for a tasting- rated as a solid 100 on BeerAdvocate and a world-class Imperial IPA. Note that these guys have "never" poured or shipped cans outside of their home state of Vermont. John Kimmich himself transported the goods to make sure they made it safely! There's some special magic at play here so be prepared!
Adding to the mix of 40+ local breweries, will be local home brewers showcasing eight of their best brews for you folks. This is obviously in addition to the added benefits of a free growler - DUH! - from 3rd Street Aleworks, those awesome & underrated folks across from Russian River, who will be filling them once for $5 ONLY for festival attendees. (Only if tickets purchased by July 25th).
Proceeds will go to an amazing cute non-profit called Puppy Life Saver, a no-kill dog rescue organization serving communities in Sonoma County. Life is ruff so have a beer and save a puppy? Thanks!
So collect your medal. Collect your filled growler. And come have some fun in the sun with us!
